Questions I cannot answer
I am not an accountant, a financial adviser, a lawyer, or your HR department. I cannot tell you what you personally should do about your taxes, your lease, your offer letter, or your credit file. That is not modesty; individual advice in those areas usually needs a license and facts I do not have.
What I can do is point you at the agency or document that publishes the rule.
